October is Breast Cancer awareness month so it's time to increase awareness of this disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, most people forget to take the necessary steps to detect this disease in its early stages. Here are some self-examination tips:

Step 1: Inspect your breast while in front of a mirror. Lift arms over your hand.
Step 2: Lower them to your waist, and then hang them on your side. check to see if there are any irregularities in form of the breast as well as the skin.
Step 3: With fingers, firmly touch the armpits to detect any possible lumps. In the same way, palpate the breast, nipple, and aureole.
Step 4: Squeeze nipple with fingers to see if there is any secretion.

If you detect or notice:

• A lump or ball in the armpit
• Pain in some part of the breast
• Swelling
• Secretion from nipple
• Breasts with folds or indentation
